Another!

I was also a busy-bee making a surprise gift for my best friend who after 10 years of dating was finally engaged to her beau. I could only think of one way to give them something that was personal and special- a "coat of arms" if you will of their relationship thus far.

And of course it features bacon.

The only downer is in my excitement I totally forgot to take a scan or a really good photo of the piece! So enjoy this blurry little selection! And congrats to Anisha & Justin.

Framed and everything! Oolala!

Andy & Sarah

Sometimes you're lucky enough to have friends who have known you since your age was a single digit. My friend Rae is one of those people. And sometimes you're lucky enough to watch two of your friends who are in love get married, and start their lives together.
Rae's friends Andy & Sarah are two of those people.

Rae wanted to give Andy & Sarah something personal and fun for their wedding day, so he asked me to do a portrait and an inside-joke of sorts for his friends.

Congratulations and much happiness to Andy & Sarah!
(I hope to meet you one day if I ever get my ass in gear to visit Rae.)
(Sorry, Rae.)

Calvin & Aleza: A Couple in Pictures

I had the great enjoyment of drawing a friend of mine's wedding gift for one of his best friends! Together with my creative partner-in-crime/roommate extraordinaire, Sarah, we made a book of drawings of the soon-to-be-wed couple doing some of their favorite things together. Here is a smattering of some of the pieces, I'll make sure to show off Sarah's incredible book in the next post...
